Flaky soft Parata Recipe

 It took me years to get this soft and flaky Parata as I was trying many recipes from internet and asking many people for years . Today I'm sharing you the best paratha I tried by correcting and improving my self , because I always wanted to give you all the best and the tastiest one that everyone said it's yummy.



I must tell you that I decide my breakfast whether I can finish making in at least 45 mins in the morning . Because both my kids and hubby will be leaving home at 7o clock . So I must at least start making 6 am.  So I usually prepare the dough the day before night And refrigerate, trust me there will be no changes or difficulties in making next day morning. Keep the dough out once you wake up . You can start making the Parata in 10 mins.


Let's get started now.

Ingredients you need 

Flour 500 grams

Water 1 cup (Room temperature)

Salt 1 teaspoon

Oil 2 table spoon


How to make 

Put the flour in a bowl and add salt and give a mix now add water little by little and knead until you get a soft dough.




 

Make sure you knead atleast 15 minutes . This kneading will make a soft dough.

Now pour the oil on top of the dough and apply all over.  Don't knead after you put the oil. 

Cover it with a cling sheet of a polythene paper and keep it a side for 15 minutes. ( If you are kneading the previous night, refrigerate it and you can take next morning .) 

Next Step :

Arrange a flat clean surface, apply some oil in both board and the rolling pin to make sure it doesn't stick . 


Roll it until you get to a thinner layer , do not worry if the Rotti tear. Make it as thin as you can and apply some oil on it .


Now fold the Rotti into a square shape and put it in a oil applied pan. Cook it a low flame untill you get a brown and crispy top.
